“ I’ve banked up a solid month of vacation…” — Jack
Wow! What a concept! ‘Banking up’ for a vacation is exactly what I just started doing. Too bad I didn’t start doing that 40 years ago! I just started and I’ve only got 10 days left before my vacation starts. I won’t be going on any cruise, that’s for sure.
I’ve got ten days to come up with something beyond bitchin’. It has been way too many years since I’ve taken a vacation. I am actually struggling to remember how to do it. In the past I have planned some truly outrageous and profound vacations. Back then I never went a whole year without a vacation.
When I planned a vacation back then I always planned for plenty of spontaneity. Planning for spontaneity; how fucked up is that?
Jack, I have long suspected you of being a Libra. Is it, per chance, true?
There are two astrological cycles of the year that have a very specific energy vibration that other signs don’t have. Both of these cycles follow one of the equinoxes. They are Libra and Aries.
Equinoxes are ‘balance windows.’They occur when we are at the middle null point between two opposing polarities. Those of the Libra and Aries persuasion enter their special time of year through this center null point. They are bathed in the glow of balance. In this state they are the official beginners of new seasons — of things new.
You may have never read this before in any astrology book but it is a proven fact that all Libras and all Aries carry Bic lighters. All of us. In the Spring, we Ariens flick our Bics and suddenly flowers appear in every color imaginable. In Autumn, those lovely Libras flick their Bics and the forests magically turn every shade of color imaginable.
Can you see how important those Librans and Ariens are?
Yes, Capricorns and Cancers are important, too. And they also carry Bic lighters. But they use those lighters in very different ways. The vibes are in an entirely different spectrum.
Personally, I prefer to take a vacation in either the Spring or the Fall. (Also summer — and I’m not adverse to a winter vacation either.)
I am secretly hoping that my quickly approaching vacation might turn into a permanent vacation. I have been told that when a vacation becomes permanent it is no longer referred to as a vacation and is instead now called retirement.
Why do we differentiate vacations and retirement? Aren’t they the same thing? Except for duration of illusory linear time. Should not retirement be a permanent vacation? Why do we need a different word? Why can’t we be in the vibratory state of vacation all the freaking time? Right? Why do we have to wait to retire? And why is retirement not lived in a perpetual state of vacation?
Octobers can be so freaking awesome! And so full of stories.
