Tumbleweed Junction

The invisible magic door

At the edge of America’s pavement
Where the tumbleweeds frolic
Where the rabbits watch you with keen eyes
There is an invisible magic door

You cannot see the door
Until you have passed through it
Inconceivable changes
Await your attention

An electric jolt
A cosmic slap in the face
A touch of inexplicable
Familiarity

The doorway into home
An opening to that
Which we long for
Yet which is always here in our hearts

Watch for the tumbleweeds
The sand and dust
Cross on over
To a different world
