The Scary Crazy Happy Dance

Uncertainty on the brink of joy

I can feel the approaching change
It is what I have prayed for
I am so very hesitant
Yet overflowing with anticipation

It is a time of fluctuations
From one extreme to another
The center point of balance
Gets more difficult to embrace

Doom and gloom are knocking on one door
While peace and joy knock on another
I freeze in the middle
No longer able to feel that middle

Fear and joy do the crazy dance
It is not pretty to watch
Hopefully the movements will eventually match
The melody and harmony and rhythm

I have been in this place
So many times before
But I am still not comfortable
Until I know more
