The freaking new job!

Ever since he landed the new job Frank has been miserable. He comes home from work exhausted. He barely has enough energy left to watch an hour of TV then go to bed. And he is still tired when he awakens the next morning.

The paychecks are nice, though. In just a few months he paid off his debts and actually started to save money. For the first time in his life Frank has been able to put money aside. It’s easy because he hardly has any time to spend money. Working between 50 and 60 hours a week barely leaves enough time to do his laundry, shower and eat and then go back to work.

Frank wishes he liked the job but it is not fun. It’s just very hard work.

After only three months on the new job Frank is already dreaming of the day he can quit the job.

Frank remembered when, a little over three months ago, he prayed for a job that would cover his expenses and then some. He asked the universe for a job that would lift him out of his deplorable financial situation. He asked for a job that would get him out of debt. He asked for a job that would actually provide money that he could put aside for the future. He asked for a job that would provide an income greater than he had ever had before.

And the universe answered his prayers.

And now he wished that he had been a little more specific in his requests.
