What’s In Your Wallet?
Confusion at the convenience store
I was at the convenience store counter. I pulled my debit card out of my wallet then set the wallet down on the counter. I noticed the female clerk glance at my wallet. Looking at the wallet I saw that there was a round impression poking up through the leather. The woman gave me a snarky look.
I realized that she must have thought I had a condom in my wallet. I hear some men keep a condom in their wallet.
For some reason I was compelled to dig into my wallet and pull it out and show it to her, “It’s a hair tie. You know, to tie your hair into a ponytail.”
The woman looked at the hair tie then at my long hair then let out a sigh of relief.
I was relieved, too, though confused as to why I felt compelled to show her my hair tie.
