I do, however, scroll a little bit on the homepage just to see what the Medium curating staff is currently trying to cram down our throats. I rarely click on much in that feed because so little of it is of interest to me. And yes, the ‘Based on Your Interests’ is a complete and utter joke. I would say that about half of what is labeled ‘Based on Your Interests’ is of no interest to me. If that is based on algorithms then the algorithms are broken. If that is determined by the curating staff then the curating staff is broken. Either way, it is definitely broken.
