That was very well put and I wholeheartedly agree with a lot of what you said. I was pretty ignorant as a teenager, though. My aversion way, way, way back then was, I eventually learned, rooted in my experiences as a child in Roman Catholicism — as well as other experiences. As I matured I eventually realized what my aversion back then was all about and I was able to move beyond it. The aversion I held way back then, though, was important in that it helped bring about realization of what it came from which helped me to move past it. I may still be ignorant but not nearly so much as when I was a stupid teenager. Sadly, a lot of people hold onto their aversions for life. I am so glad that I have not — at least not that particular aversion.

I have a delightful Jehovah’s Witness story that you would probably appreciate. Maybe I’ll tell that sometime as time permits. It would back up a lot of what you said.
