Thanks for that response Quasimodo . I don’t remember if we were proving theorems or not. About the only thing I remember is that it was easy — as long as I did not think about it too hard. Geometry was the only math that came easily to me. It seemed so natural. I’ve used it in a few jobs that I’ve had over the years but it was more through an innate understanding and I could not even begin to explain what I was doing to anyone. It seemed like just a natural way of seeing things.

By the way, my older brother once got a B in calculus and that B prevented him from being valedictorian. He never shut up about it. Math was his achilles’ heel but he ended up in a profession utterly dependent on math. He banged a lot of stuff into his head. Maybe that is why he suffers from headaches. I don’t know. I tend to simply allow things to float into my head — and then float right back out.
