Thank you, S Lynn Knight . I think you have answered my questions. The Weekly Knob continues to be my favorite publication on Medium. I wish you guys nothing but success and prosperity.

Earlier this morning I went into my profile and realized that I still had access to my stories published on TWK so I spent a good part of the morning backing up all those stories into Word doc files. I’ve also begun the herculean task of doing the same for all the articles and stories I’ve published on Medium in the year and a half that I’ve been here. Gosh, I didn’t realize that I’d written so much. I had forgotten the good advice of not keeping all our eggs in one basket so I’ll be thinning things out and moving most of my stories to a new website I’m building where hopefully I can get some exposure and even eventually put up a paywall for myself since Medium only does that for the very biggest and most popular publications. It’s obvious that actually being paid for my writing is something that will never happen for me here at Medium unless I have tens of thousands of followers so I need to take matters into my own hands. I will remain at Medium as a reader but this obviously is not the place for writing. (Unless, of course, if on some Monday I happen to see a TWK prompt that really turns me on.)
