Thank you , Nalini MacNab , for forcing me to get out my dictionary to find out what a ‘duvet’ is. It turns out I have one and I pull it over me a lot — at least in wintertime.

Then you made me look up ‘wellies.’ My dictionary did not contain that word — probably because it’s an American dictionary. I was feeling even stupider.

And by the way, Ann Litts , why go to Italy to visit Florence when Florence can come to you, right? One’s love of beaches can always be put on hold for a few days. I pray that your neighborhood remains safe.
