Thank you for your responses, Hank Eng and Ann Litts . It has been a little over 27 years since I was last on an ocean beach. I miss it so much! Thankfully, even though I can’t readily get to an ocean beach right now, it is reassuring to know that I can always close my eyes and go to the beach through my fictional characters. And as anyone who has read my stories over the last few years on Medium knows, my characters are ALWAYS going to the beach.
