Thank you and bless you, Kerry Kuhn , for that profound information. It makes so much sense! I spend far, far too much time sitting in my expensive ergonomic desk chair typing away on my computer. Every few weeks I look at the back of my chair and it is covered with hair. It’s the damn chair’s fault! Maybe it’s time to quit writing…
Is that why all the old Native Americans have such long hair? Because they never sit in chairs? They sat cross-legged on the ground (Mother Earth’s skin). Well, my arthritis prevents me from doing that.
I remember so many years ago when my wife braided my hair. I loved her so much for that. But I never learned how to braid my own hair. I tried doing it a couple of times but I can’t see what I’m doing and without my eyes my hands are utterly inept.
Thirty some years ago I used to braid my daughter’s hair all the time. She had the most glorious, pristine, magical, and long hair. I loved brushing it, braiding it, putting it up in pigtails. Gosh I loved her hair! But as she got older she started saying things like, “Dad, would you just leave my hair alone already?” It was so sad when she stopped letting me brush and braid her hair.
It has been so long since I’ve braided hair that I’m not sure if I remember how. I might just have to quit writing…
