Since my name is gender neutral and since I vehemently refuse to ever publish a photograph of myself (I’m like Crazy Horse), it can be confusing to some readers. They don’t know what voice tone to use in their head. Once, many years ago a woman discovered my writing and followed me for several weeks thinking that I was female the whole time. Then I published a story that apparently revealed my male gender and she got so pissed off to learn this that she immediately stopped reading me altogether. That freaked me out a bit so I’ve tried to subtly reveal my gender on a somewhat regular basis. (I also found that oddly titillating.)

I’ve always been a great ‘worshiper’ of female energy. I like being surrounded by it. All the pets I’ve ever had were female. All my wives have been female. All my children and grandchildren are female. I have more female friends than male ones. One of the things that turned me off to Christianity is that it is so darn male. I didn’t care for Jesus and his cohorts nearly as much as I adored Mother Mary. And that is what I like about Lakota spirituality; that its ‘Christ figure,’ White Buffalo Calf Woman, is a female.

By the way, Deepak Chopra just published an article here on Medium about the divine feminine the other day that is very, very spot on. Everyone should read it.

One of the most fulfilling experiences of my life is when I spent four and a half years as a full-time stay-at-home mommy dude. Every ounce of female energy within me came out and I loved it.

But yes, a penis can also be delightful.
