Shanda Went to See a Psychic
(But don’t tell anyone!)
Shanda went to see a psychic. She didn’t tell her friends because she didn’t want to be judged. She actually didn’t believe in psychics herself but her life seemed to be going nowhere and she was desperate for some advice. There was obviously something in her life that she was not seeing that was causing the stalemate in her life situation; something that was blocking all her dreams from coming true.
It was her first time ever consulting a psychic and she was a little nervous. But she was also somewhat defiant. It was like she was daring the psychic to give her the perfect answer.
The psychic had closed his eyes and was breathing deeply. Shanda rolled her eyes but the psychic could not “see” that.
The psychic was wearing a thick turtleneck sweater which Shanda thought odd considering that it was May. Looking around the small office she saw shelves full of crystals, books, Buddha statues, goddess statues, small gongs, candles, and on one shelf there was a lone baseball. WTF? she thought.
Her eyes were drawn back to the psychic just as he opened his eyes. He took a very deep breath and exhalation then ran the fingers of his right hand through his bushy beard. Then he clasped his hands together and put them on the table.
