One thing I miss about landlines is that when you leave home you leave your phone behind. You’re not bothered when you’re in the quiet library or in line at the grocery store or watching a movie in the theater or taking a peaceful walk in nature. That was so nice.

I’ve found that one of the best ways to cut down on all the calls is to not give your phone number to ANYONE. That really does help. Of course you’ll still get calls from telemarketers. There doesn’t seem to be any way to stop that.

I have a feeling that someday soon cell phones will be old-fashioned just like landlines are now. Soon we’ll have tiny cellphones implanted in our noggins so that there will be no way to get away from it all. Ever.
