Nowadays we rely far, far, far too much on our eyeballs and our noggins. We react to stimuli and we have forgotten how to respond with our hearts.

I dug the 90s, too. It was the last decade when we responded rather than reacted. It was the last time we were human before we became cyber identities. It was the last time when human contact was real and not a pixelated configuration of emotional reactions.

If you don’t want someone to look at you, you obviously don’t want to look at them. The internet makes this easier. The internet provides us with the challenge to go beyond that. It is up to us to respond to that challenge or to react to it.
