Mr. Sanders, it is my very strong belief that Standing Rock will be (is) one of the greatest turning points in American history. In the decades to come we will look back and see Standing Rock as the event that finally moved us collectively onto the correct path. As usual, you are on the right side of history. Because of their undying and unquestioning loyalty to the oil and gas industry, Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton (as well as almost the entire rest of the federal government) are on the wrong side of history.

They don’t see it but you do. Your vision is not clouded by the status quo of “profit before all else” that our government, our political parties, our media, our corporate leaders, our religious leaders, and almost all other established systems emphatically cling to.

As a nation we have come to a fork in the road. We can continue on the road of “every man for himself” which we have been traveling or we can exit onto a new path of one-ness in which cooperation takes over from competition and in which we all realize that we are in this together and that we must embrace each other and we must embrace nature if we are to survive.

Mr. Sanders, you have been showing us that new path and I believe that there are way, way, way, way more people ready to follow you down that path than you realize. While there are many who insist on following the path of the wrong side of history, I fully intend to walk with you onto the new path of the right side of history.

We will come together and change the world. And it is happening right now at Standing Rock.

I stand with Standing Rock! Let us all proclaim that with every fiber of our being.
