More about cat names

Actually, I rather like ‘Domino.’ It has a cool sub-culture, almost Italian ring to it. I’m picturing a small group of old gray-haired men sitting around a table playing dominos (like old men used to do so many years ago). Suddenly, a kitty cat jumps up onto the table and scatters all the pieces, ruining the game. The kitty cat looks around at all the old men and smiles (as much as a kitty cat can smile).

I can also visualize some domino weirdo spending the entire night on the floor of his/her apartment setting up a line of dominos that twist and curve and circle around. He/she is about to place the last domino and is about to tip it over sending the entire line of dominos falling over in a magic display when a kitty cat jumps in front of him/her and knocks down that last domino initiating that marvelous display of falling dominos.

It would not be surprising if a kitty cat like that would be named, Domino. Some kitty cats like to disrupt our plans.

“Onyx” is a cool name but it’s hard to imagine opening the back door to your house and yelling out, “Onyx! Onyx!” It just doesn’t sound right and there is no telling what the neighbors might think.
