Making Your Own Music
Setting your words to music…
You turn on the CD player. You open it up to insert a disc. You put your headphones on. You go through a big pile of CDs and finally pick one. Out of hundreds of favorite songs you finally pick one because you feel that it corresponds to your current mood…
It may not be your very favorite song or your favorite artist. It’s just a song that you feel happens to most accurately corresponds to your current mood. It is what you feel might enhance your current mood. It’s the song you feel would most likely contribute to what you want to currently express. It’s the one song among hundreds of your favorites that you feel corresponds to your current mood and what you feel would provide the undercurrent to what you want to say.
As soon as the song begins playing your juices begin to flow. The song is reverberating throughout your body and soul. You find yourself slipping into the flow. You quickly find yourself in a rhythm. Your body and your mind falls into that rhythm. You find yourself ever so slightly swaying back and forth to the song.
And the words in your mind begin spewing forth. You ignore the lyrics you are listening to and start inserting your own words…
After the party
We come together
The music continues
But our surroundings
disappear
A new reality opens…
