Logan’s Walk
When it’s hard to move your legs
It will be a memory that will be impossible to forget. He was sure of that. He knew that if he went through with it nothing would ever be the same. And he was pretty sure that he was going to do it.
Logan was quite confused about his life situation and was not prepared to suddenly make such a radical change. But the time had arrived. He had to make a decision.
Truthfully, Logan was not very good at making decisions — big decisions anyway. He was actually rather good at making small decisions but the big ones turned him inside out.
At certain junctures throughout his life, when quick important decisions were called for, Logan would put himself through great turmoil and stress as his mind ping-ponged back and forth between available options. He had made plenty of bad decisions in the past and he really did not want to make any more. So he gave much more time and thought to his decision-making — as though that would somehow help.
But it didn’t. It really didn’t. It only seemed to make things worse.
With his hand on the metal railing, Logan began shaking. He was already sweating profusely. His heart was racing and he felt that it was about to burst.
