Lindsay Lonai Linegar I really don’t know how true that is. To me, it seems perfectly plausible as well as a bit ridiculous. The ridiculous part involves trying to attain enlightenment by traveling all over the world searching for every orchid species. I’m not sure a lifetime is long enough to find every one. I think there are easier paths to enlightenment.

I learned this from some channeled material from an entity that I normally trust. It was part of a discourse about how intricately humans are connected to our incredible planet. There was also information about how there is a plant somewhere on the planet that is connected to each of our organs which can heal those organs. I thoroughly resonate to how connected we are. We all also have spirit animal totems that connect us to certain animals.

But at the same time I am not inclined to go on a trek through the jungles of Papua New Guinea in search of rare orchids. Orchids are everywhere and one would literally have to search every square foot of the planet to find them all.

By the way, your smiling daisies post is what reminded me of this orchid information and inspired me to write this. I meant to post that but forgot.

The important thing is that humans have become dangerously disconnected from nature and reconnecting can only be helpful in so many ways. Both smiling at flowers and sniffing them is a way of reconnecting. The more disconnected from nature that we get, the more unhealthy we become. It’s more difficult to attain any peace or joy or enlightenment when we’re sick. Our planet can heal us.
