Just a couple of quick questions….

Will we have to pay to join in order to access our stories that we have previously published on the Weekly Knob since we can no longer access them through our profile? Now I wish I had saved copies of them. I thought I was saving copies because they were in my profile but that no longer seems to be true. I’d like to recover all the stories I’ve written for the Knob just for my own personal records. How can I do that?

Also, since potential writers and past members are now only members for the week that they are published does this mean that we will no longer receive the Monday prompt in our feeds or email unless we pay up?

Spending time and energy creatively writing without any compensation is tough and, sadly, something that is expected of writers these days. Paying for the privilege of writing, however, is deeply unsettling. My current financial situation leaves me thoroughly unable to pay any monthly membership fees to any publication or website on the web no matter how small the cost. The thought of having to sell my blood or sperm just to be able to recover the stories I worked so hard on is not a pleasant thought. I need that blood to keep writing. (And the sperm is no doubt useless by now and probably wouldn’t fetch any money.) Please advise me on how I can recover my stories. Hopefully sometime in the future my situation will improve and I can join the club.
