I’ll Be the One

To supply the love

I’ll be the one
I’ll be the one sending love
I’ll be the one pushing energy
I’ll be your champion

I’ll lift everything you do
up onto a pedestal
I’ll testify to the world
of your beauty

I’ll show the world
what I cannot show of myself
I’ll say, ‘This is beauty.’
This is what is good about ourselves

We march to paradise
arm-in-arm
we cannot fall without
being picked up

We cannot break through
without those lifting us up
we breach the surface together
and together take the breath of life

I want to be the one
as we float to the surface
to let out a sigh of joy
knowing that we will all get there

Maybe I’ll be the one
who finally realizes
that we are already there
and everything is perfect
