I love the response of Caleb Ramsby also. I’d kind of like to use that, too.

“ I think the Red States that wail and holler about the opioid crisis while enforcing draconian pot laws are a bunch of ding dong conservatives that have lost touch with the reality that there are other ways to have pain relief other than supporting the pharmaceutical industry.” — Victoria

Stupidly, I moved from a blue state to a Red(neck) State. I had lived in Colorado for over 18 years and right after I moved to a certain Midwest Red(neck) State Colorado made pot legal.

“Doh!” to quote Homer Simpson.

The Red(neck) state I now live in will give you 5 years in prison for the possession of one lousy joint. It was like moving from the present back to the 1950s.

Those Red State politicians don’t represent the people. They represent the pharmaceutical industry and any other industry that shows up at their office door with a bag of money to donate to their re-election campaign. The pharmaceutical industry has spent hundreds of millions of dollars buying Congressmen and so has the for-profit prison industry. It sucks. But that is the nature of American government today. Why legalize marijuana when that will cut into the obscene profits of pharmaceutical CEOs? Everything in America today is about profit for the top 1%.

“So like my stuff or not.” — Victoria Easterday

If only all of us were that brave and honest.

Thank you, Victoria!
