I lived very intensely through the Eighties. It was one of my favorite decades. I must have been living it on a different planet or something than you, though. Your planet seems to be obsessively fixated on fashion. On my planet the Eighties was when I threw fashion overboard and simply did not care about it anymore. My only inclination towards fashion was to do the very opposite of what everyone else was obediently doing. Yup, that is when my popularity began going downhill. I still intensely love the Eighties but I threw all my Eighties calendars in the trash and don’t remember who was wearing what in what year or what hair styles were acceptable in what year. All I remember is the mind-blowing fun. And the music — though I could not tell you which year which song came out. Seriously, it’s a bit of a blur. Except, of course, for the overall wonderful vibes.
