I just wanted to update things. I got really excited by your suggestions, Ann Litts. I checked all my CD cases. I check all my devices. I was hopeful when I found a Hootie and the Blowfish CD in an Earth, Wind, and Fire case. (Although I fear that may be illegal given the range of differences in decades.) Then I found an Earth, Wind and Fire CD in a Phoebe Snow case. Then I found a Poco CD in a Rolling Stones case (sacrilege!). Then I found a Carole King CD in an ABBA case (double sacrilege!). Then I found a Yanni CD in a Rod Stewart case (quadruple sacrilege). Then I found a Taylor Swift CD in my Paul Simon’s Graceland case. Then I found a Coldplay CD in my Louis Armstrong case.

That is when I started to suspect foul play. I started thinking, Who the fuck has been taking care of my music over the last decade?

While putting the proper CDs in their proper cases, I went through every single CD I have and to my utter chagrin I could not find that missing Pamela Hughes CD. I did find the case but not the CD.

While my noggin and sense of reality has been torn asunder I did come across a lot of great music. Right now I’m listening to POCO and my blood pressure is back to normal. Now I’m listening to Coldplay and I’m rocking back and forth in my ergonomic desk chair. I swear these chairs were designed specifically for listening to music.

Next on my list of CDs is Tina Turner. Oooh, I’m getting excited!

Oh no! Now all my CDs are out of their cases again!

Once again I suspect foul play.
