I have enough good ones to last four or five lifetimes. And I’ve only had one child! We tend to look to wise old sages for wisdom but often our greatest teachers are those we give birth to. They offer us incredible wisdom and insight without having the faintest idea that they are doing so. Wisdom and innocence are a combination that is purer than any self-help advice we might find on the internet. It is something we continue to give each other through many lifetimes until we finally get it. The best way for a couple to announce that they are pregnant is to say, “We are bringing forth our teacher.”
