I have been single (divorced) for the last 13 years. They have been the most wonderful, joyous and happy 13 years of my life. I cannot imagine giving that up by getting into a ‘relationship.’ Luckily, I am old now and there is no one pressuring me to ‘partner up,’ least of all myself. All my life I had a feeling that old age would be a wonderful time and I was right.

I sure miss my dog, though. We were married for 16 and a half years. She kicked the bucket 7 years ago and I still miss her every single day.
