I am quickly realizing that retiring is the most wonderful, exciting, awareness-expanding, joyous, fantastic thing I’ve ever done. And that doesn’t mean that I am on a fixed income. Yes, I have a tiny fixed level of security but now I am free to make money doing what I want to do. A world of opportunities has opened up now that I’m not working my ass off full time in order to make someone else wealthy. Now I am strictly working for myself. I do what I want, when I want, how I want. I never have to punch a time clock ever again or do things I don’t want to do. Retiring is SO FREAKING LIBERATING! I feel like I’ve shaved 25 years off of my age. I feel so much younger and freer now.
