Headed For an Eruption
A mountain full of joy
Jeremy drove to Mt. Anghar once every June to celebrate the solstice and bathe in distant memories. It is on that mountain that he had his first major life-changing epiphany back when he was a college student. It was there, a few years later, that he made the most profound commitment of his life.
It was not a commitment to another person or to a career choice or to a personal dream. It was a commitment to joy. He made a personal pact with the Universe to always make joy his highest priority over all else.
Jeremy’s annual trek to Mt. Anghar was his way of reaffirming that commitment. Once atop the mountain, he looked back at all the joy he had experienced over the previous year while feeling intense appreciation for it. He then became an empty vessel, becoming completely open to draw in another year’s worth of joy.
He would drive from where ever he happened to be living to the village of Famkay located on the side of the mountain. He would then park, gather supplies and then hike up to the summit. He knew all the paths up the mountain for he had taken them all several times. He knew the mountain more intimately than he knew any human. Each step up the mountain was an embracing of the divine.
