Greetings, I’m Gretel Snow the Grammar Snob. I arrogantly point out grammar mistakes that happen to irritate me.
I hate it when grammar mistakes are made so often they become an accepted norm. One example of this is when people say, “I pooped my pants.” I’ve noticed this grammatically incorrect statement spouted throughout media and even in real life.
When you say, “I pooped my pants,” what you are saying is that your pants came out of your butt. What I’m pretty sure everyone really means to say is, “I pooped IN my pants.”
Let’s get it right, folks! You don’t want to piss off Gretel.
