Feelings From the Future
Glimpses of a different home
She kept seeing snippets of the future. It was not just a different time but a different place. She saw distant mountains and the land leading up to those mountains was bare of trees. She saw brown and tan and ochre and beige and chocolate and sand. A line of green capped the distant mountains.
The feeling from the land was so different than the green meadows and forests of the flat land she lived in now. The place felt so far away but she could feel herself being there. It was an older version of her that she felt, though. And not only was she different but so were all the people involved in her life.
She was convinced that she was looking into the future for there was no memory involved. And since she felt older the glimpses she observed had to be in the future. It felt like a place where she would end up living if she made a certain decision in her present. But the glimpses of that future seemed so real that she obviously would make that decision — whatever it would be.
She saw these future glimpses sporadically throughout her days and sometimes even in her dreams. They were always accompanied by feelings of contentment, happiness and being at home. She had been very happy and at home where she was presently but those feelings seemed much stronger in that future place. She…
