Eating Peaches
A listicle poem
Chili dogs are best eaten with a knife and fork.
Don’t walk on railroad tracks with your ear buds in.
Houseplants make me happy. They are delightful companions.
Why run when you can walk?
Without birdsong the universe would collapse.
Eating peaches brings mind-blowing joy.
The cure for any ailment is just on the other side of the door to one’s home. Go out that door. Go outside. Nature is waiting to heal you.
Public tree-hugging is not illegal, nor immoral.
Always clip your toenails around the full moon.
Smile at a child. It changes the world.
In silence there is incredible music.
Animals are our friends.
Always thank the universe when you find money — even if it is just a penny.
Before you read a book put it under your pillow first and sleep on it.
There is a secret mojo that permeates all of reality. It is known as joy. Call it forth.
