Searching for peace in all the wrong places
Several years after a war people forget all about it — but not all people. Those people directly involved in it will never forget. Within their memories are the seeds for future wars. Peace appears to be but a dream and perpetual war reminds people of the dream but not enough to bring that dream to fruition.
If the outer physical world truly reflects the inner world within people then war will only continue until enough people find their own peace within. It is a tipping point humankind has not yet reached.
We rely on leaders to bring about peace but our leaders are also reflections of the conflict within us. They can only help in the peace process if enough of their followers are at peace within themselves.
Eventually, when enough humans find peace within themselves then the very need for leaders will dissolve and no longer be reflected. In true inner peace that peace will be reflected rather than the competition between leader’s egos and personalities.
Many will argue that it is impossible to find true inner peace in a world exploding in conflict. They argue that their lack of inner peace reflects the state of the world. But they have it backwards.
