Bridget Webber , you are one of my favorite writers on Medium. Seriously, you totally rock! But, if you don’t mind, I would like to add some advice to what you said in this article. You said…

“ Inhale slowly through your nose, hold your breath a short while, and as you exhale picture stress leaving your mind and body. Repeat until you are calm and tension leaves.”

That is cool! But I would suggest inhaling fully through your nose as you touch the tip of your tongue to the roof of your mouth. Then release the tip of your tongue from the roof of your mouth as you exhale forcefully through your mouth.

It is a very subtle difference but it makes a HUMONGOUS difference!

As we breathe in through our nose with the tip of our tongue touching the roof of our mouth is the perfect time to exclaim any affirmation that we wish to project to the Universe (including the release of anything). We pull that affirmation as deeply into our lungs and our being as we can and then we release our tongue from the roof of our mouth and expel that affirmation out into the infinite field of possibilities in the Universe as forcefully as we can through our mouth. This moves the affirmation from our inner field of intentions out into the infinite field of possibilities in the Universe as forcefully as we possibly can. Nothing works more intensely as this.

This is one of the most powerful uses of our breath. Our nose is a powerful organ and so is our mouth. Our tongue is the magic wand that brings forth mojo through the complementary use of our nose and our mouth. We have a lot of in-built tools and when we use them together they produce exponentially delightful results. To best use the nose and to best use the mouth we must incorporate the tongue.
