A Listicle For Santa Claus

Because it’s important

  1. A new car (preferably an SUV I can haul lumber in)
  2. A new home (a house with a fenced yard and plenty of room for gardening and lots and lots of windows and solar panels on the roof)
  3. A new phone (one of those smart thingies)
  4. A new TV
  5. 2,000 new followers on Medium
  6. A two month supply of Toblerone bars
  7. A leather flight jacket like I used to have
  8. A wood saw and a new power screwdriver along with about $300 dollars worth of lumber
  9. A washer and dryer
  10. A kitty cat to live with me in my new home
  11. A dwarf lemon tree for my new home
  12. A carpenter’s level
  13. A couch

This is just my first preliminary draft. I have until November 18th to come up with a finalized version. Once my Christmas wish list is finalized I’ll make a copy of it and put both copies under my pillow as I sleep. Then on Thanksgiving I’ll burn one copy and I’ll mail the other copy to Santa Claus on the day after Thanksgiving.

It’s never too early to start working on our list of what we want for Christmas. It’s also very important to believe in Santa Claus. The last four years I didn’t even bother making a list and that is why I don’t have any of the things on the above list. So I am not forgetting the important list-making this year. And hopefully this will serve as a reminder to everyone out there to get cracking on your list. How is Santa going to know what to bring you if you don’t have a list?
